Space Operations Officers are technical leaders tasked with making recommendations on the employment of space systems.

SPACE PROFESSIONALS

Those whose primary responsibility is to integrate space capabilities of allies, partners, industry, and other U.S. Government departments and agencies into operational plans and execution to enable maritime freedom of action.

 
 
TECHNICAL LEADERS

Those tasked with representing Marine Corps interests in national security space matters to include making recommendations on the employment of space systems and the development of space architectures to meet naval space needs.

INHERENT TO ALL JOINT WARFIGHTING FUNCTIONS

The FMF is reliant on space-power for modern competition and conflict.




CRITICAL TO SERVICE FUTURE CONCEPTS

Space capabilities enable the FMF to operate inside actively contested maritime spaces in support of distributed fleet operations.




GENERATE COMBINED ARMS EFFECTS

By competing in and through the space domain to support joint force movement and maneuver, and enable fleet and joint force kill webs.
