National Police Week 2026

Every May, our nation comes together for National Police Week to honor the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of law enforcement officers. This includes Peace Officers Memorial Day on May 15th and a week of observances recognizing officers who gave their lives in the line of duty, as well as those who continue to serve and protect our communities with dedication and courage. The Special Reaction Team are elite specialized units with a capability similar to that of civilian Special Weapons and Tactics units, responding to crisis situations at Marine Corps installations.

U.S. Marines with 12th Littoral Combat Team, 12th Marine Littoral Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, participate in Korean Marine Exchange Program 26.1 in the Republic of Korea from March 5 to April 12, 2026. The Korean Marine Exchange Program (KMEP) is a semi-annual exercise that provides opportunities for ROK Marine Corps and U.S. Marine Corps units to train together, improving their combined capabilities to deter threats and maintain peace on the Korean Peninsula.
