2026 Dangers of Browns Island Awareness
U.S. Marine Corps LtCol. Jeffrey Cummings, director of Range Control, Marine Corps Installations East-Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, and Mr. Tom Pieratti, range control officer, MCIEAST-MCB Camp Lejeune, advise the public on the dangers surrounding Browns Island at MCB Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, May 21, 2026. Browns Island remains strictly off-limits due to ongoing live-fire training exercises and the presence of dangerous unexploded ordnance. All personnel accessing the island must be accompanied by an explosive ordnance disposal technician due to extreme dangers associated with the high-hazard impact area. End of an Era: Marine Attack Squadron 223 celebrates the sundown of the Harrier
In the summer of 2026, the U.S. Marine Corps will sundown the AV-8B Harrier II+ as part of the Tactical Aircraft transition plan as the Marine Corps progresses toward an all-5th generation TACAIR fleet. This video celebrates the conclusion of Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 223's nearly 40 years of flight operations with the Harrier platform. MCRD San Diego Kilo Company Graduation
The new Marines of Kilo Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, graduated from Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, May 29 2026. Graduation took place at the completion of the 13-week transformation which included training for drill, marksmanship, basic combat skills, and Marine Corps customs and traditions. Following graduation, the Marines were given 10 days of leave before taking the next step in training at the School of Infantry at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California.

3rd MAW Memorial Day Video: Remembering The Attack On Camp Bastion
A video created in Adobe Premiere Pro 2021 to commemorate Memorial Day by telling the story of the attack on Camp Bastion, Afghanistan, May 22, 2026. The attack on Camp Bastion was carried out on Sept. 14, 2012, during which Marine Corps pilots and aircraft maintainers with the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing took up arms to repel the attackers. Two Marines, Lt. Col. Christopher Raible, the commanding officer of Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 211, Marine Aircraft Group 13, 3rd MAW, and Sgt. Bradley Atwell, an avionics technician with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 16 (Forward), Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd MAW, made the ultimate sacrifice, giving their lives in the defense of our nation.
