ACDC: Island Alliance

ACDC is a series of bilateral exchanges and training opportunities between U.S. Marines and Philippine Marines aimed at bolstering the Philippine Marine Corps’ Coastal Defense strategy while supporting modernization efforts of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Modernizing Underwater Egress Training; the MUET
U.S. Marines, Sailors, and Civilians test and train in the newly installed Modular Underwater Egress Trainer (MUET) at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The MUET is a newly developed version of the traditional Underwater Egress Trainer capable of training Marines in passenger and crew courses for Amphibius Assault Vehicle (AAV), Amphibius Combat Vehicle (ACV), and Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) configurations. U.S. Marines test a newly derived Multi-Platform Driver Simulator at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The Multi-Platform Driver Simulator is an upgraded version of the Operator Driver Simulator, including improved graphics, sound, haptics, and customization to provide Marines in the Motor Transport field to train in a variety of environments, climates, and driver interfaces. Marines with U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific, and senior leaders from across the Indo-Pacific region take part in the Pacific Amphibious Leaders Symposium 2026 in Honolulu, Hawaii, June 16-18, 2026. Bringing together experts and leaders from across the Indo-Pacific, PALS fosters collaboration among allied and partner amphibious and maritime forces to share knowledge and recent operational insights. This year was the 12th iteration of the symposium and hosted senior leaders from 25 participating nations who are committed to a free and open Indo-Pacific, with the objective of strengthening and developing regional relationships.
