U.S. Marines with Marine Barracks Washington participate in the opening ceremony and 50th Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C., Oct. 25–26, 2025. The opening ceremony featured a three-mile motivational run, performances by the U.S. Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon and Drum & Bugle Corps, and remarks from Lt. Gen. The new Marines of Bravo Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, graduated from Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Oct. 17th, 2025. Graduation took place at the completion of the 13-week transformation which included training for drill, marksmanship, basic combat skills, and Marine Corps customs and traditions. Following graduation, the Marines were given 10 days of leave before taking the next step in training at the School of Infantry at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California.
