MARCENT Marines Honor Medal of Honor Hero with Community Cleanup in Tampa

Baldomero Lopez during a community cleanup at Centro Asturiano Memorial Park Cemetery in Tampa, Florida, April 25, 2025. Lopez, a Tampa native, U.S. Naval Academy graduate, and Medal of Honor recipient for his heroic actions during the Inchon landing in the Korean War. MCRC Participates in Marine Week Nashville
U.S. Marine Corps Recruiters and poolees from Recruiting Station Nashville and Marines assigned to Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force-250 attended a variety of events across Tennessee for Marine Week Nashville, June 1-7, 2025. During Marine Week Nashville, Marines with Marine Corps Recruiting Command interacted with local high schools and businesses and supported sporting events, ceremonies and performances from the U.S. Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon and the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Band. The Marine Corps is celebrating its 250th birthday with six multi-day Marine Corps community events, called Marine Weeks, in six major cities across the country. 25th Marines Participate in SOUTHERN STAR 25
U.S. Marines with 1st Battalion, 25th Marines, 4th Marine Division, and Chilean Marines work together during Exercise SOUTHERN STAR 25 at Fuerte Aguayo, Chile, from May 26 to June 8, 2025. SOUTHERN STAR 25’ is a multinational special operations exercise taking place across Chile from May 26 to June 8, uniting forces from six nations and 10 observing countries, totaling over 2700 participants to enhance interoperability and strengthen global SOF partnerships through joint training from as far north as Antofagasta to the southern region of Punta Arenas. The MAI course develops Marines into certified instructors capable of teaching and evaluating the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program. Throughout the course, Marines are challenged through rigorous physical conditioning, combative drills, and leadership evaluations under high-stress conditions.
