MCRD San Diego Delta Company Graduation
The new Marines of Delta Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, graduated from Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego. Graduation took place at the completion of the 13-week transformation which included training for drill, marksmanship, basic combat skills, and Marine Corps customs and traditions. Following graduation, the Marines were given 10 days of leave before taking the next step in training at the School of Infantry at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California.

Those Who Knew No Fear - 81st Anniversary of Union II
The Union II 81st Commemoration Anniversary ceremony is held in Les Saisies and Centron, France, Aug. 1, 2025. Union II was a WWII operation that involved the aerial insertion of six Marines, an Army Air Corps captain, and a French resistance fighter into the German-controlled French Alps in August of 1944. Their mission was to arm and train the French Resistance to aid in the fight to liberate Europe. When they found themselves surrounded by German forces in the village of Centron, the Marines surrendered in order to save the village from retaliation. Their sacrifice is remembered to this day. Camp Blaz Marines honor the 81st Anniversary of the Liberation of Guam
U.S. Marines with Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz and Combat Logistics Company 34, Combat Logistics Regiment 37, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, participate in various remembrance ceremonies, community events, and parades throughout the island to commemorate and honor the 81st liberation of Guam, July 21, 2025. Guam liberation month is celebrated to commemorate and honor the U.S. forces liberating Guam and its survivors from Imperial Japanese Forces in 1944 during World War II. HMH-461 completes first MCCRE as a CH-53K King Stallion squadron
U.S. Marines with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 461, Marine Aircraft Group 29, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), undergo a Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluation at U.S. Coast Guard Base Sector Key West, Florida, July 18 to Aug. 1, 2025. Marines with 2nd MAW and 2nd Distribution Support Battalion trained alongside elements of the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection to refine humanitarian assistance and disaster relief capabilities while also refining the CH-53K King Stallion's ability to support distributed aviation operations in a joint environment in order to establish HMH-461's operational readiness as a squadron. WWII POW Memorial
Mr. Shigeaki Mori, the last Japanese survivor of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, observed the 80th anniversary of the B-24 Lonesome Lady crash in Ikachi, Yamaguchi Prefecture, July 28, 2025. The event honored the passing of 66 Japanese service members and eight American prisoners of war detained after the crash, six of which later lost their lives in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. Members of the Japan Air-Self Defense Force from Hofu-Kita Airbase Japan, were paired up with U.S. Marines at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni on July 23, 2025. Partners exchanged professional knowledge and personal experiences while giving members of the JASDF opportunity to practice their language skills. The event ended with an exchange of gifts and contact information to continue collaboration between the allied forces.

Kilo Company Crucible
