KAMANDAG 9: U.S., Philippine Marines conduct counter-landing live-fire
U.S. Marines with 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin 25.3, I Marine Expeditionary Force Forward, and Philippine Marines with 3rd Marine Brigade conduct a counter-landing live-fire during KAMANDAG 9, at Palawan Philippines, June 4, 2025. KAMANDAG is an annual Philippine Marine Corps and U.S. Marine Corps-led exercise aimed at enhancing the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ defense and humanitarian capabilities by providing valuable training in combined operations with foreign militaries in the advancement of a Free and Open Indo-Pacific. MRF-D is an annual six-month rotational deployment to enhance interoperability with the Australian Defence Force and allies and partners and provide a forward postured crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific. The Historic 50th Marine Corps Marathon
U.S. Marines, volunteers, and runners take part in the 50th Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C., Oct.26, 2025. The 2025 “People’s Marathon” featured the hallmark esprit de corps, perseverance, and community spirit the race is known for. Tens of thousands of runners converged on D.C., Maryland, and Virginia to not only show support for the Marine Corps and their country, but also for the unique experience of running this iconic course alongside Marines. 50th Marine Corps Marathon
U.S. Marines with Marine Barracks Washington participate in the opening ceremony and 50th Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C., Oct. 25–26, 2025. The opening ceremony featured a three-mile motivational run, performances by the U.S. Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon and Drum & Bugle Corps, and remarks from Lt. Gen. MCRD San Diego Bravo Company Graduation
The new Marines of Bravo Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, graduated from Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Oct. 17th, 2025. Graduation took place at the completion of the 13-week transformation which included training for drill, marksmanship, basic combat skills, and Marine Corps customs and traditions. Following graduation, the Marines were given 10 days of leave before taking the next step in training at the School of Infantry at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California.
