  • Description: The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) National Insider Threat Awareness Month (NITAM) Conference hosted by the Department of Defense Insider Threat Management and Analysis Center (DITMAC) will provide a unique opportunity for both Insider Threat Practitioners, Security Professionals and other functional support elements to come together and discuss insider threat awareness. The theme of this year's event is Partnering for Progress setting the stage for networking and collaboration among all functional support elements within the insider threat arena.

  • Description: In recognition of National Insider Threat Awareness Month, the National Counterintelligence and Security Center’s Enterprise Threat-Mitigation Directorate, in partnership with the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, and Federal Bureau of Investigation is pleased to announce the 2025 Insider Threat Symposium. This classified event will bring together leaders and subject matter experts from across the Insider Threat and Counterintelligence communities to participate in relevant briefings and panels. “Understanding and Addressing Incel Violence”
  • Description: Join Drs. Chris Taylor and Brian Van Brunt as they share their observations and insights related to the incel phenomenon while exploring reasons why boys and men are attracted to this philosophy. They will describe and apply a risk rubric useful for understanding the level of indoctrination related to incel violence drawn from their book Understanding the Incel. Three case examples will be offered to further the participants' ability to practice these assessment techniques as part of a threat assessment.
