The Deputy Commandant for Information, Information Intelligence Division at Headquarters Marine Corps provides the overarching IA2 vision, strategy, and capability management for the Marine Corps. IA2 combines mutually supporting biometric, forensic analysis, and identity intelligence activities to recognize and differentiate individuals, establish facts, and attribute evidence to persons, places, objects, and events. IA2 enhances Marines’ ability to ‘sense and make sense’ of the operational environment supporting intelligence, force protection, targeting, and law enforcement during competition and conflict.
